The primary fundraising activities of the Mad River Valley Rotary consist of the Sponsorship Program, The Duck Race, and the Restaurant Raffle. Together these activities provide funds for the Rotary’s Charitable Giving program. Details for the Duck Race and the Restaurant Raffle are below. Mad River Rotary Duck Race

The Mad River Rotary Duck Race is held annually on the Sunday of Labor Day weekend.  In 2024 we held TWO separate races with 12 winners. 100% of funds raised for both races go to the MRV Rotary Club charitable fund. For both races you "adopt" a plastic duck.  We'll send your numbered duck into the Mad River and let them run downstream to the finish line. The good news is that all who have supported the event(s) will have the satisfaction of knowing they supported Rotary's work in the Valley and beyond.

Dinner for Two and Other Culinary Delights

The Restaurant Raffle has been an annual tradition for the Mad River Valley Rotary Club for many years. Each year, members visit local restaurants in the valley and beyond to seek donated gift certificates. Members then sell raffle tickets for a chance to win one of the donated gift certificates which range from $20 to $100 from almost 80 locations.

All proceeds from the sale of raffle tickets support the Mad River Valley Rotary's charitable giving program.

Last year, The Restaurant Raffle helped to raise over $20,000 to help support local students, nonprofits and community projects. It is one of our longest running fundraisers and one of the primary sources of funds that are distributed through the MRV Rotary's charitable giving program.

When you buy a raffle ticket, not only will you be supporting the Rotary, but all of the programs, events and community projects the Rotary helps fund. A few examples are The Warren 4th of July Parade, the Mad River Valley Dog Park, Rise Against Hunger, Neck of the Woods, Habitat for Humanity and many, many more! So, "Eat for Good!" by purchasing a raffle ticket and help support the generous restaurants who have donated gift certificates as well as supporting the Mad River Valley Rotary and their charitable giving.

Proceeds are reinvested in the Mad River Valley Community.
