Joining the Mad River Valley Rotary Sponsorship Program
Each year, the MRV Rotary conducts a Sponsorship drive. The Sponsorship committee contacts local businesses via email, letters and personal visits and asks them to consider a donation to the Mad River Valley Rotary this year. Most of the monies raised go to local projects supporting children, seniors, music, art and cultural events, meals on wheels, the ambulance service, Hannah’s house, scholarships and many other organizations which make the Valley healthy and productive. A small percentage supports a few important international efforts. Many of the businesses in the Valley have given to the fund raiser over many years and are enthusiastic to do so. Thanks to them, as they provide the backbone of our community. It is also important for new businesses to jump on board.
This program helps our businesses to reach out to support as many as 30 organizations with critical projects each year with a single donation. The Rotary Board screens possible projects for their effectiveness and impact on the community, thereby permitting our businesses to impact local charitable projects in a simple and effective way while they focus on their business. Sponsors are recognized in local publications and forums, on the Rotary web site, in social media and at Rotary events throughout the year.
Every cent on the contributions to this program is donated to a wide range of projects by non-profits, mostly in the Valley. Scholarships are awarded to Harwood graduates and many other projects beneficial to the Valley and the area. Combining funds raised from this program with those from the annual Duck Race and the Restaurant Raffle permits the Rotary to award over $70,000 each year.
We invite all businesses in the Valley to participate. The MRV Rotary and the community will be very grateful for your support. You will have the satisfaction of knowing that your gifts are invaluable to the community.
