Our dear friend and immediate past president continues on his long road to health. He pops into my head on a fairly regular basis, giving me a few moments to send healing thoughts his way. I know he appreciates all of our collective expressions of support for both Gail and him.
A few shouts of thanks go to: Tom Emory for successfully wrapping up the annual Restaurant Raffle. We will be looking for a new team to spearhead this next year. We will soon have a comprehensive document outlining the details of this fundraiser. To Pete Colgan who made the time to promote the Restaurant Raffle with persistence and posts on various social media platforms. He nailed it. To Ben Olds and his team for navigating the Warren 4th of July parade planning and all the “high drama” and “cast of characters” that surrounds that particular event. To Roger Porter, who after several years, is stepping down as the lead on the District Grants application process. He has provided the board with a great standard operating procedure for this valuable project and will assist a new chair as needed. To Doug Stoehr for making sure the Community Pantry gets their twice-weekly groceries from Mehurons and Shaws.
There are so many more to thank for the things they do for our club and our community. For those not specifically mentioned, please know you are seen, are valued, and are deeply appreciated. Thank you all.
