In 2024 our Rotary made a $3,000 grant to FEFY to develop a STEM related program for the teens who attend the camps at Sugarbush Soaring and FEFY each summer. Brian Wagner made a presentation to us a while back about this program.
When you get a second, please click on this link - Aviation & STEM Programs — Flight Experience For Youth and watch the short video made after the first camp this summer.
This really shows how we can make a difference by funding a seed grant for a specific purpose. The small donation we made to start this program has inspired the donation of a new work space in one of the hangars at the airport. The students have set it up with work tables and tools. This in turn, inspired a donation of both a laser printer and laser cutter along with design software. This program has become a great part of each summer camp experience.
Thank you for your support of FEFY and our youth.
