WHAT IS THE DUCK RACE?
The Duck Race is an annual event taking place on the Sunday of Labor Day weekend. We send small numbered rubber ducks down the river (for a short distance). The first 10 rubber ducks to cross the finish line win monetary prizes. Basically it's a raffle event but instead of buying a raffle ticket, you purchase a number of rubber ducks that float down the river. Come on....how fun is that!!!
The Duck Race is one of our primary fund raisers. For every ticket you help sell, you directly make an impact. How's that for motivating?!?!?
WHAT WILL BE REQUIRED OF YOU AS A VOLUNTEER?
Basically just selling tickets (with potential minimal set up or take down of a table & items on table). You will be provided with a 'cheat' sheet and all information you will need ahead of volunteering.
