Happy New Year to all! I hope your holidays were all that you wanted them to be. If they were anything like mine, they were filled with food, family, frivolities and festivities! It seems like it has been a while since we have held a regular meeting. The next one will be at 7 a.m. for breakfast on Wednesday, January 10 at the Village Meeting House at the Waitsfield UCC. OOPS! I just heard that the aforementioned meeting will be cancelled due to incoming weather. With some luck, we will have more real snow
The next few meetings are scheduled as follows:
Wednesday, January 17, a lunch meeting, at Lawson's Finest Liquids Taproom. Speaker: James B'fer Roth will speak about his very successful Tree House business.
Wednesday, January 24, breakfast meeting at 7 a.m. at the Village Meeting house. Speaker Jay Pilliod will present introduction speech.
Wednesday, February 14, breakfast meeting at 7 a.m. at the Village Meeting house. Speaker TBD.
Wednesday, February 21, venue TBD and speaker Martin Hahn from Common Good, VT.
Wednesday, February 28, breakfast meeting at 7 a.m. at the Village Meeting house. Speaker TBD.
Many thanks to Karen Winchell for her hard work scheduling speakers. If you have an idea for a speaker or a connection that can help Karen, please reach out to her.
Many thanks to Jane Macan for her leadership with our annual Holiday Party. Of course, we are grateful to Emily Shea who hosted us in the Valley Meade Annex which was festively decorated under the guidance of Nancy Emory with Tom's help of course. A big thank you to Kolleen and Bobby Kintz for the wonderful photography you see below. What a wonderful business you have!
Thank you to all who have been selling Restaurant Raffle tickets outside of Mehurons. Also thank you to those who have sold using the Rally Up site. To date, 3,700 tickets have been sold totaling $15,500 in sales. (Thank you, Tom Emory for this report.) This year there is a record 162 gift certificates available to win. Sales close on 1/14. Just a few days left.
