Good Morning! Another bluebird day in "happy valley" as I call it.😄 What a wonderful breakfast meeting this morning! Many thanks go to Ben Olds for charming Matt Lillard, General Manager of Mad River Glen, into speaking this morning in lieu of Zachariah Watson of Habitat for Humanity. Zach had to postpone his attendance due to a case of Covid in his household. But he is rescheduled for early December. Many thanks for filling in on short notice, Matt!
Many thanks also go to Gordon Hoare who, along with Roger Porter, Doug Stoehr, Damon Reed and Shawn Sullivan for staining the playground fence at Neck of the Woods childcare center.
The Window Dressers program was a success once again. You can learn more about the program here https://windowdressers.org/. Thank you to Sally Dwyer for helping manage the program and along with Pete Colgan, Warren Koss helped to do the measuring and cutting and wood working.
Tom Emory reports that we have 113 (I think I got this right) gift certificates to raffle off thanks to lots of help from members. Rallyup is live and ready to accept all of those purchases for raffle tickets. You can sign up to sell paper tickets at Mehuron's by going to the members only page here https://www.mrvrotary.org/page/members-only . It really is great fun! The Raffle will take place about Jan 20.
It is reported that Al Barillaro still mows a few lawns and two of them are the private property that the "Welcome to the MRV" signs sit on. Thank you for this work, Al!

Nothing to do with Rotary but yesterday morning I woke to this scene of the guns making the white stuff on Mt. Ellen - Elbow, I believe! Get ready and get the skis tuned! 🎿⛷🏂
Well, that's it for now. But in the meantime, I suggest you get cooking and baking as Thanksgiving is just around the corner!
